The yellow wagon shaft lets your dog pull your wagon and help you with chores or hauling kids. If you wish to hitch two dogs, add the two-dog hitch to your order. I am currently training my two goats to pull my wagon.

The same commands walk, gee/haw, whoa (or wait), stand, are used. You can leash walk beside the dog as he pulls garden tools or you can walk behind the wagon and drive the dog that way. In the past when my dogs were young, I made a seat for my wagon and rode in the wagon and used the reins for guidance.

The shaft fits the various wagons lined up at Tractor Supply. My wagon is the larger model of Ground Work. I haul a lot of tree chips, leaves, sawdust as well as tools so I like the larger model.

If you have a Chalo Sulky harness for a sulky, use it. If you have a shorty mushing harness, use it by adding a carabiner to the tip of the shaft. Use a strong bungee so the shaft tip rides above the dog’s back. You need eye bolts in the frame of the wagon to hook to the bungees.
