About

Because Dogs Love to Run

I believe that dogs love to run and need to run. I developed my sulkies so that when your dogs run, you go with them. You guide them and keep them safe.

I have owned multiple dogs. All my dogs loved to pull sulkies. My dogs and I explored towns, farms and forests.

  • Why Chalo Sulky?

Chalo Sulkies are easy to pull and safe to ride. They are light enough for one dog to pull and are strong enough for four dogs to pull.
Chalo sulkies are dorsal shaft sulkies. The dorsal shaft goes over the dog’s back and hitches to his harness. When you sit in the driver’s seat, your weight lifts the tip of the sulky shaft. Think of a see saw. Dorsal sulkies provide upward lift on the dog, not downward weight. The dog is lighter on his feet than when he is not pulling the sulky!
Chalo Sulkies give the dog freedom to run, trot, or walk while pulling you and the sulky.

Chalo Sulky was founded on January 1, 2009. I sold my business called DogScooter on December 31, 2008. It was time to promote the sport of driving dogs with sulkies.

Why International Association of Dog Drivers?   http://www.internationaldogdrivers.org

A group of sulky drivers founded the IADD to promote the sport of dog driving with sulkies, scooters and bicycles. Join the organization and support the sport. Put Driving Titles on your dogs.
